Moderate intensity activity will raise your heart rate, and make you breathe faster and feel warmer e.g. brisk walking, cycling.

With vigorous intensity activities, you will get warmer, breathe much harder with your heart beating rapidly, making it difficult to carry on a conversation (e.g. running, football, swimming).
